Catalyst Biosciences Announces New Employment Inducement Grants

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., April 20, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Catalyst Biosciences, Inc. (NASDAQ:CBIO), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on creating and developing novel medicines to address serious medical conditions, today announced that on April 18, 2016, the Company granted its Chief Medical Officer, Howard Levy, options to purchase an aggregate of 100,000 shares of the Company's common stock at $1.52 per share, the closing trading price on the date of the grant. The grant was approved by the compensation committee of the Company’s board of directors. The stock options were granted pursuant to the Company's 2016 Inducement Stock Incentive Plan, which was approved by the Company's board of directors on April 15, 2016 under Rule 5635(c)(4) of The Nasdaq Capital Market for equity grants to induce new employees to enter into employment with the Company.
